my generation of women grew up expecting they could, and would, have it all. a loving husband, 2.5 kids, a dog or two, a white picket fence, a solid education, a rewarding career. not to mention leisure time for travel, shopping, volunteering and other hobbies. but is it possible to have it all, at the same time and genuinely feel happy with life?

I think that if you are happy with life, you have it all. I feel like I have it all and we are broke and stressed about homework. But, we love each other immensely and enjoy life as it is. I do have it all...because, in the end, a happy life is what matters.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you wrote about this, because I'm going to write about happiness in a few days. It's been on my mind a lot. I have much inner peace, but I am not totally happy. Money does not buy happiness ... that I can attest to. Fulfilling one's life purposes (and feeling good about it), having a relationship with God, and being happy in your other relationships are the keys--in my opinion-- to happiness. I guess I still haven't answered that question, have I?
