We Made It!

We've arrived safe and sound in Texas ... pretty much problem free (my ears won't pop -- which was pretty painful for about 40 minutes and now it's just annoying! other than that, it's been smooth sailing!)

It's about 80 and sunny right now. Feels like Florida! And there are palm trees!

The highway system leaves a bit to be desired (I'm rather fond of zoning laws now that I see what not having them creates! Strip club, day care, car dealership, restaurant, factory ... all in a row. All in favor of zoning laws, say "I"!)

We're staying at a Residence Inn Marriott, so we have a fully stocked kitchen, a living room, and your typical bed and shower ;) I'm looking forward to having home cooked meals while we're here! The hotel is in a town called Webster, which has a mall and nearly every other store you can imagine... including Barnes and Noble AND Borders. About 5 minutes apart, max. My love for shopping may need to be fixed before June. And it looks like we'll be trading in Bed, Bath & Beyond for Linens 'N Things? Oh, and there's a Starbucks in walking distance from our room. I think this might be a blessing depending on how early our days start. There's also a basketball court and a swimming pool nearby, so we can hear kids having a great time. So far, I like it.

But we sure aren't in Virginia anymore!

Time for dinner and a grocery run. More to come!

  1. Dear Mommy & Daddy,
We are so glad that you made it to Texas safely and hope that Mommy's ears pop!

We are having such a great time at Sammy's house. Brad and Andrea are taking such great care of us! Today we ran outside a lot, then had a lazy day around the house. We all cuddled on the couch while B and A watched a movie. Tonight they went to a friend's house for dinner and we took really great naps! Now, we are all outside....We are running around the yard and laying in the grass while B and A play a game on the patio.

Well, Sammy wants to play now and you know how he doesn't take no for an answer!

Have a great trip finding us a house! We miss you!

    Love, Molly & Fozzie

  2. I was thinking today how much I'll miss you when you move. I'm sad and distraught! I can't wait to get the full report on TX!
