our weekend plans didn't go through as smoothly as i'd hoped. mike called me at work on friday, around lunchtime, to say that he was going to be sent home around 2pm to rest up because he might be going out on a response around 7 or so. we decided to wait to cancel our dinner plans at eat: an american bistro until we knew more. we ended up ordering pizza around 8 because we still hadn't heard anything ... and 5 minutes before the pizza arrived (9pm) he got the call to head in to work.... where he remained until 6am saturday morning. the above picture is him cuddling with molly around noon :) it was actually a great day for him to need rest --- it was cold, rainy and gray, and she does this to me every weekday morning so i was happy to see him getting a chance to enjoy her puppy sweetness. isn't she adorable?
this also means we didn't make it to the habitat hustle, but we're going to send in our registration fee as a donation this week. a bit disappointing, but we've come to expect this sort of thing. does that mean we like it? of course not ... but we are learning to accept it.
i'll post a bit more later. the colts-patriots game is minutes from starting and i need to get ready for a couple hours of nail biting ;) GO INDY!
